Situated below the majestic view of the Rift Valley wall, Lake Manyara National Park is a sheer 600m high red and brown cliff of escapement on one side and by the white-hot shore of an ancient soda lake on the other side. The varied vegetation supports a wealth of wildlife nourished by the streams flowing out of escarpments. Acacia woodland shelters the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Manyara is a perfect location for an active safari and canoeing.
